Move from MEE6 without losing levels
The biggest reason servers stay with a bot they dislike is what their members have earned. XP and levels from MEE6 come across with one command.
Four steps
Add NyrxBot to the server
You do not have to remove MEE6 yet. Both bots can sit side by side for a while.
Make the MEE6 leaderboard public
In the MEE6 dashboard, under levelling settings. Otherwise there is nothing for us to read — MEE6 does not expose private leaderboards.
Run /import mee6
By default we keep the higher of the two values, so nobody loses anything. You can also choose to replace everything with MEE6's data. Level role rewards come across with the points.
Hide the MEE6 leaderboard again
If it was private for a reason — once the import is done you can safely hide it again.
What comes across
- XP for everyone on the leaderboard
- Levels recalculated from the points
- Roles granted by level, up to 25 thresholds
What we cannot bring
- Economy and currency — MEE6 does not expose them
- Role and reaction panels — these need setting up again
- Custom commands and autoresponders
Nothing is lost on the way
On an error — a private leaderboard, a MEE6 rate limit or a dropped connection — we write nothing and say plainly what went wrong. The import can be repeated as many times as needed.
Start by adding the bot
Run the import whenever you are ready — it does not have to be straight away.
